Sean-nós Dance Saturdays: 4-week virtual session

2020 has been challenging for all of us in different ways. I have slowly been making the transition to teaching my own students (kids and teens in the Boston-area) virtually. I've had requests from dancers I've worked with in different parts of the country for beginner sean-nós dance classes virtually. To try it out, I'm planning to offer a 4-week beginner/advanced beginner sean-nós session, on Saturdays at 10am EST. Like many people, the isolation of being at home without our music and dance community has been difficult. If you'd like to connect, dance together, and learn some steps, please join us! All are welcome. We'll start each week with a gentle warmup, and then work through a basic repertoire of sean-nós steps, while talking about the history of sean-nós dance and its close relationship to the music, as well as view some sean-nós dance videos for discussion. This (going virtual) is all new to me, so if you'd love to take part but timezones don't line up, let me know, and we can explore options. Also, if you have requests for types of classes you'd like to see, I'd love to hear about it.
